It doesn't look like this half the time I go there either :)

You have to be brave enough to go out onto the water in a -10degC wind chill and get blue finger tips too!

There's no reason at all why we can't come over here post-'Pool, it's only a 10 minute car journey. I've arranged the tides :)

Bugger ... I thought my tripod holes would be washed away !!.

Only joking, I'm delighted to be able introduce you and Zany to your own back yard. :D

By the way, this fort protects Manchester from incursions by Wikings up the Manchester Ship Canal. And this fact is proven as there has never been any. ;)

I thought that he was lying down; he usually is. ;)

Pete

I don't think he had time.

If you check his EXIF data, this shot was taken 14 minutes after I posted my shot.

Two minutes to leave the house, 9 minutes drive, 2 minutes to find a safe parking space, 1 minute to afix his wellies and a minute onto the beach and point his camera. Not enough time to get wet, methinks.

You watch, Stunsworth will have been there today with his CCD wideo camera. :)

BTW - nice pic Andy.

Did you consider lying down per chance?

Unfortunately, Jacques Cousteau died before he could train me in the art of breathing under water.

But, thanks for the tip, anyway.

My new-found antipathy to all things North Walean and Constabulary means I can't get here in 9 minutes anymore, I'm afraid.

I watched the hail lash the outside of the house and decided that the best thing I was going to do today was buy two cartridges for my inkjet printer. Mind you, going to PC World meant I had to go past a certain football ground near Stretford.
