chriskerkov Posted October 6, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted October 6, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have just inherited an old Leica SLR (R-E Sery with 3.5/28 - 70 and 4.0/70 -210) and want to say hallo! May be someone will be interested in my interesting fotowebsite > fotokunst-christopher-kerkovius - fotokunst-kerkovius Webseite! . But unfortunately those fotos were not taken with a Leica, because I had never the money to buy such an exclusive fotoequipement! Now I have to try to make a step back into analog fotografy to use my new old:) Leica

Ruhayat Posted October 7, 2012 Share #5 Â Posted October 7, 2012 Welcome! I have fond memories of my Leica R-E, with 28mm Elmarit and 50mm Summicron. If the electronics didn't go wonky - shutter would randomly refuse to close for no reason, even in good light - I would still be shooting with it today. Â Enjoy the R-E experience. It's like the R version of the M7, which I now own, and very good for travel.

Mongo Park Posted October 14, 2012 Share #7 Â Posted October 14, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi. Welcome. Its nice to meet people who are getting into the R system. Coverted an RE when had an R4S Mod2 that I eventually part exchanged for an R7 about 10 years ago. Its still working brilliantly as I'm sure an RE would. Have fun and show some pics in due course.
