Advertisement Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Hi luigi bertolotti, Take a look here Canon 5dmk2 converted to Leica M. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Ruhayat Posted November 1, 2012 Share #42 Posted November 1, 2012 This thread is about taking a hacksaw to the Canon to accommodate Leica M lenses, notably the Noctilux. Not just that. This thread can also be about celebrating a prototype camera, a Canon full frame camera (that is battle-proven for commercial video shooting) which takes M lenses. Granted, the OP's model is a working but apparently limited prototype, but if this concept were developed further by industry niche players, it would be a tremendous product for videographers. As for the rest of the comment, since neither of us know for sure at this point in time, I'm content to wait and see user reports from pros who use the M for video in the field. I'm guessing current M9 wedding photographers would probably the first to try out the M's video features, and for them - usually a one-man "camera team" - it will probably work well. Ruhayat Posted November 1, 2012 Share #43 Posted November 1, 2012 Not to speak of the fact that, though ingenious and functional... it's really an UGLY camera... So is the Ricoh GXR with M mount, compared to the X1. But I like ugly cameras that work wonderfully as a camera, as opposed to a suicidal pretty thing (it keeps leaping to the floor unless you add an uglifying grip on)...
