carylwithay Posted September 23, 2012 Author Share #4 Â Posted September 23, 2012 Thank you both. I set the camera during the day for a place near the birdbath. This time she came right to that place. I cannot focus at night for obvious reasons so I depend on luck. I was hoping for the raccoons but I missed them. k-hawinkler Posted September 23, 2012 Share #6 Â Posted September 23, 2012 Amazing visit, well captured. Do you live in San Francisco or nearby, like Marin County? You certainly have lots of interesting night time visitors. Â Ever thought of setting up a wildlife camera that gets triggered by your animal visitors? In my neck of the woods, that way someone captured a photo of a young mountain lion in their backyard at night, drinking from a little water pool. Â Thanks. carylwithay Posted September 24, 2012 Author Share #7 Â Posted September 24, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thank you Paul and K-H. We live in 2 places, San Francisco and Pacifica. I take night shots in both but only animals in Pacifica. If I set up my cameras at night and left them the deer would knock them over of break them. they knock over concrete bird baths. I have thought of it but decided against it. We also have visiting mountain lions but they scare me. I shoot through the window at night ever since a mountain lion came very close and roared at me.
