Augost Posted August 25, 2012 Share #1 Posted August 25, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Would it be possible to use a thumbs up on my m6? I use a rapidwinder, so the thumbie would not get in the way of film winding...
Advertisement Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Hi Augost, Take a look here Thumbs up on M6??!!. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
250swb Posted August 25, 2012 Share #2 Posted August 25, 2012 A 'Thumbie' would not get in the way of film winding or anything else, but a 'Thumbs Up' will certainly stop you using your hot shoe. You need to decide which you want to try. Steve

250swb Posted August 26, 2012 Share #4 Posted August 26, 2012 Apart from the obvious advantage of a Thumbie on a camera that uses a Rapidwinder or motordrive there are a fair number of people who use them on their standard film M's. They need a better grip but don't like putting a strain on the gearing of the advance mechanism by holding the camera with the lever out, so use a Thumbie instead. Steve I probably did not mean the thumbie...and I was not talking about the hot shoe, which btw, you can still use if you get the right thumbs up
