Thumbs up on M6??!!

Apart from the obvious advantage of a Thumbie on a camera that uses a Rapidwinder or motordrive there are a fair number of people who use them on their standard film M's. They need a better grip but don't like putting a strain on the gearing of the advance mechanism by holding the camera with the lever out, so use a Thumbie instead.

A 'Thumbie' would not get in the way of film winding or anything else, but a 'Thumbs Up' will certainly stop you using your hot shoe. You need to decide which you want to try.

I probably did not mean the thumbie...and I was not talking about the hot shoe, which btw, you can still use if you get the right thumbs up
