pascal_meheut Posted March 12, 2007 Share #1 Posted March 12, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) C1 default profile works fine with 1.092 but I find it slightly greenish. And Edmund's profile is too contrasty for me: I wanted something close to the M8 default as well as the DMR one to mix images from both cameras. Anyway, if someone wants to try it, here it is, slightly warm for skin tones: http://pmeheut.free.fr/Leica%20M8%201_92%20default%20warm.icc A "normal" version is also available: http://pmeheut.free.fr/Leica%20M8%201_92%20default.icc

peterv Posted March 12, 2007 Share #3 Posted March 12, 2007 Thanks Pascal. I agree on the 'green' part, and I'll give the profiles a try tomorrow. Peter
MP3 Posted March 12, 2007 Share #4 Posted March 12, 2007 Pascal Thanks for your profile. I'll give it a try. Cheers Matthew
kidigital Posted March 13, 2007 Share #5 Posted March 13, 2007 Pascal, I like them very much. I feel that Edmund's profiles can be a bit too contrasty at times ... leading to blown highlights. Your contrast is more controlled and the colors are very good also. Kurt
sps Posted March 13, 2007 Share #6 Posted March 13, 2007 Maybe I'm just easy to please.... I think the colors are incredibly natural. I was using one of Edmunds linear profiles, and find more detail in the highlights with yours. Thanks for the generous use of your spare time. Guest guy_mancuso Posted March 13, 2007 Share #9 Posted March 13, 2007 Pacal these look very good. it does have a lot of contrast to start so i did have to lower it quite a bit . Thisis hot sun stuff with a lot of contrast to begin with but the colors look very good

pascal_meheut Posted March 13, 2007 Author Share #12 Posted March 13, 2007 Thanks guys. I think that skin tones could still be better but I'm having a hard time optimizing them. If I can make something better, I'll let you know.
Guest guy_mancuso Posted March 13, 2007 Share #13 Posted March 13, 2007 It would not be to much, your very close. maybe a touch warm if anything. Now the portrait i did not have to touch the contrast and you really should go by that since it is very controlled lighting, although i did try the extra shadow detail and looked maybe a little better. Some clues for you, let me know
pascal_meheut Posted March 13, 2007 Author Share #14 Posted March 13, 2007 The "warm" profile has a little bit extra yellow in the reds because I found the skin tones too cold in the "normal" one but I'm not so sure now. Aniway, it is easy now to generate other profiles by changing contrast, saturation, hue and so on... Let me know exactly what you would like and I build them. james_h Posted March 13, 2007 Share #15 Posted March 13, 2007 Thankyou Pascal, I'm going to try those out later. ---------- Guy, Easy to see why you shot that golf day after only 3 hours sleep....
scott kirkpatrick Posted March 13, 2007 Share #16 Posted March 13, 2007 Thanks, Pascal. I also like the 1.092_default best. The following are shot with a B&W 486 filter. First the C1 3.7.6 default profile and then with your "default" profile: and here's another in the same living room light, but shot with a CV50/1.5 and 486 filter, using your default profile: scott
pascal_meheut Posted March 14, 2007 Author Share #17 Posted March 14, 2007 Here is the new version with more details in the shadows and less saturation: http://pmeheut.free.fr/Leica%20M8%20default%20v2.icc And the same but with more saturation: http://pmeheut.free.fr/Leica%20M8%20default%20sat_plus%20v2.icc
