M6TTL wobbly door > wobbly meter

I think there is a problem with my M6TTL metering. Each reading is accurate but not stable, and I have noticed that what causes the arrows to wander (up to one stop up or down) is inadvertent pressure on the back door. Thumb on the back door, the door gives slightly and the reading changes. Thumb off, reading changes again. The "wobble" is mostly up or down by half a stop or so. Clearly something is not right.

I have found plenty of threads of users asking about slight "give" or wobble on the M6 back door, but not in relation to a metering problem like this. Have any members had experience with this? Any advice?

PS. Battery is brand new. Gold contacts inside the back door look pristine. I am hoping this is not a major electric fault requiring a vacation to Solms.

Thanks!

Sort of thing you get with bad contacts, I would clean the contacts on the door even though they look clean, and also move the speed setting dial backwards and forwards a few times, to clean its contacts

Thanks! Hopefully something along these lines will solve the problem tomorrow. It seems the M6TTL "wobbly door" is a non issue, i.e well within tolerance, and experienced on a large number of cameras. It just appears to be coupled with a contact issue on mine, *hopefully* easily solved. I'll report back - thanks for now.

I don't have my TTL with me today (only the II) so I can't check any correlation between the "wobbly" door, which mine also has, and the meter. I have never experienced bad metering on account of the camera's meter, though, but only due to my own error. :o

Looking forward to the report on your conclusions.
