wda Posted July 30, 2012 Share #1 Posted July 30, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I was recently encouraging my wife to explore the different scene modes on her C-Lux 3 camera. Then I discovered that the camera doesn’t remember her choice when powered down. I explored all Menu options but failed to find a way to force the camera to ‘memorise’ her choice. (Her instruction booklet cannot be found at present) I realise that the C-Lux 3 is a fairly basic camera, which is what many users prefer, but I wondered if any member has found an undocumented way to memorise scene mode choice. A search in the forum returned plenty of pictures, but little discussion. Thank you.
Advertisement Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Hi wda, Take a look here Forcing a C-Lux 3 to remember scene mode choice. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
mija1789 Posted July 31, 2012 Share #2 Posted July 31, 2012 From the User's Manual, page 19: "Snapshot mode is the default mode, i.e. the camera always start with Snapshot mode after it is switched off and on again. This prevents any unintentional use of a previously set scene mode for a different subject and thus ensures that the resulting pictures are always successful." stuny Posted July 31, 2012 Share #3 Posted July 31, 2012 I guess that was one of teh "improvements" over the C-Lux 2 and 3.
bill Posted July 31, 2012 Share #4 Posted July 31, 2012 This is a longshot, but may be worth a try... What happens if you let it auto power off instead of actually switching it off? Regards, Bill
wda Posted July 31, 2012 Author Share #5 Posted July 31, 2012 Thanks, Bill. I will try your suggestion. Stuart, have you mixed up the model numbers?
wda Posted August 1, 2012 Author Share #6 Posted August 1, 2012 This is a longshot, but may be worth a try... What happens if you let it auto power off instead of actually switching it off? Regards, Bill Have checked; it holds selected mode. But power down and it is lost, presumably by design. After all, it is hardly a 'photographer's' camera. But my wife enjoys using it which is why I bought it for her.
