Perhaps he like to appeal to his equally scruffy adoring public. No one wears jeans, tennis shoes and turtle necks as elegantly as Steve Jobs when doing a presentation at Mac World Expo. Blue suit and tie would just recall IBM and defeat the purpose of the whole Mac concept. And I don't consider myself scruffy. I don't adore Steve Jobs.
