Advertisement Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Hi Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS, Take a look here Best rangefinder magazine to read/subscribe to. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!

Ruhayat Posted July 22, 2012 Share #3 Posted July 22, 2012 There's a magazine called Rangefinder. If you can find it, it's worth reading, to me. Photography News | Imaging and Photography Magazine - Rangefinder
pico Posted July 22, 2012 Share #4 Posted July 22, 2012 There's a magazine called Rangefinder. If you can find it, it's worth reading, to me. Photography News | Imaging and Photography Magazine - Rangefinder No. Save yourself the trouble. Rangefinder News is not about rangefinder photography. I received it on the day job for free because our department was incorrectly targeted. I read it every time looking for content. Time wasted. Look at this crap. And their online Rangefinder Magazine is no better. Their statement "provides a look into many of the popular digital single lens reflex cameras (dSLR) commercially available and rates them accordingly. IWC Doppel Posted July 23, 2012 Share #7 Posted July 23, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) If I was going away I would have a good read of Soul and Secrets by Erwin, free on the Leica site and a few books on photography. If you haven't got them already I might order a few back issues of LFI too I can't comment on the book personally but I am looking forward to reading Erwins Lens Compendium, I have just obtained a copy from a forum member
jerryharwood Posted July 23, 2012 Share #8 Posted July 23, 2012 On line- La Vide Leica.com- American based, but very good- mostly rangefinder based, with a seeming priority towards film !
wda Posted July 23, 2012 Share #9 Posted July 23, 2012 That is very useful; thank you Jerry.
wparsonsgisnet Posted July 24, 2012 Share #10 Posted July 24, 2012 I would suggest web browsing for rangefinder info. I ALSO second the ReidReviews recommendation. It's the best $30-something I spend on photography each year! Reid is a photographer, of course. The web is just about the most pervasive publisher one can find. dave.gt Posted July 24, 2012 Share #11 Posted July 24, 2012 If you prefer Leica, then LFI is the only choice. It can even be downloaded now on you iPad... http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/leica-fotografie-international/id371654344?mt=8 Forums, blogs and such abound but I think you are looking for a magazine about rangefinder cameras. You can also pick up archived copies, enough to keep you busy on the oil rig for quite sometime.
250swb Posted July 24, 2012 Share #12 Posted July 24, 2012 GuysI work on an oil rig and need a good rangefinder magazine to read while traveling or during my spare time either in paper or digital form? Any suggestions would be much apreaceated I would recommend not trying to find a rangefinder specific magazine but a decent photography magazine. There are a million rangefinder links on the internet, all of which confirm stultifying prejudices in favour of rangefinder photography, where it would be a whole lot better to get out into the bigger world of photography. A hard copy magazine worth subscribing to would be 'Black and White Photography', it does what is says on the cover, or via the internet you can have a rollercoaster ride of contemporary photography with L E N S C R A T C H and be sure to check out their 'links' to other sites.
