low.jason Posted July 19, 2012 Share #1  Posted July 19, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi all  I will be travelling to London, Rome, Florence and Paris in November. While I am there, I will be looking to get lenses - 50 Noctilux 0.95 and maybe WATE or 21 SEM (still undecided between these two) as prices in Europe are a lot cheaper than this part of the world.  Can someone recommend me reputable shops in those locations with good stocks please?  Thank you in advance. earleygallery Posted July 19, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted July 19, 2012 The Leica website has a dealer locator - all of the official Leica dealers are listed there.
Scarlet Posted July 19, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted July 19, 2012 There'll certainly be lots of shops with the 0.95 in stock...
andybarton Posted July 19, 2012 Share #4 Â Posted July 19, 2012 European dealers have no more chance of stock that those in Singapore. Â You might need to order now and collect when you get here. Risky, though.
patashnik Posted July 19, 2012 Share #5 Â Posted July 19, 2012 Come to Norway and reclaim the VAT when you leave: http://www.japanphoto.no/product/objektiver/leica-fatning/normal/leica-noctilux-m-50mm-f-0.95-asph/ Â Been in stock for months if I remember correctly. myshkine Posted July 19, 2012 Share #6 Â Posted July 19, 2012 In Rome, there is an official Leica store. It is run by a longstanding photography shop. It has a good stock of bodies and lenses, and people are very friendly and informed. You can look at its web page at Leica Store - Roma

As much as I will love to visit Norway, I don't think my wife will allow me to change the itinerary. :p

ph. Posted July 20, 2012 Share #10  Posted July 20, 2012 To get unobtainable equipment:  London; knowledgeable small shop specializing in Leica some 100yards north of the Holborn tube stop- right by the Sicicilian column piazza.  Paris: le moyen format on the rue Beamarchais by the Chemin Vert Metro.  Rome, the best shop is no longer open to the public, accessible by phone. I cannot find the number at the moment.  And of course Westlicht in Vienna plus the German specialists  p.

IWC Doppel Posted July 22, 2012 Share #12 Â Posted July 22, 2012 If you want to look assess and get advice with a lens then it's Leica Mayfair no question they have the entire range. Then for purchase of lenses you have to try stock at local dealers, if I were visiting London I'd go to Mayfair, RG Lewis, Richard Caplan and Red Dot (primarily for second hand) Â Id start by calling Leica Mayfair then call, I personally have never been in a dealer with a 0.95 in stock, but had a play at Mayfair
