MEB Posted June 30, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted June 30, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I approached this family and the closer adult started hissing at me. I stayed at an accepted distance and she relaxed. As I was shooting, a woman walked between me and the birds. The swan lashed out and bit the leg of the woman! Stratford, Ontario, Canada. jimofnyc Posted June 30, 2012 Share #4 Â Posted June 30, 2012 I think 'Mom' was protecting her brood and did the right thing. I'll bet that woman learned her lesson...
SJP Posted July 3, 2012 Share #5 Â Posted July 3, 2012 Great image, I like swans a lot. Â We had live experience of a swans courting ritual in our canal a few years ago, one of the most memorable events of my life, ballet. Â OK they are protective, that is is their right IMHO.
