Hmm, this one is nice but,,,, I would have tried to work this one a little more..for line..for form and getting to the essential statement.. the background shape does not work with the overall image , its as much a part of the image as the goose.

Thanks for sharing and posting

Cheers, JRM

I like this a lot, also because of the unusual perspective.

Everything is focused on the beady eye - keeping an eye on things, and the smooth texture of the feathers. I wish my pillow was made like that as well.

Stephen,

thanks a lot for your nice comment. It was just my intention to find out about this. I am happy you like it. It is much appreciated and encouraging.

And since it was my first experiment with the 180mm R lens I am delighted with its performance because I was not at all sure to bring all this out.

Iduna,

I enjoy this as a study of white textures. I agree with JRM that a different framing might have made a stronger subject however I still like this picture very much.

Mark,

your nice commnet is quite welcome.

Yes, it was a challenge to bring out the different shades of white. Probably I'll crop a bit from the bottom, but still I am not sure because it might be neccessary then a strong crop to reate a different picture..

I am happy you liked it anyway as it is.
