MEB Posted June 16, 2012 Share #1  Posted June 16, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I thought this was a particularly handsome animal. His owner invited me to take more photos of him after he was judged. M9 with 75 cron, LR4. jaapv Posted June 17, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted June 17, 2012 Pity about the car and person in the second shot. The background in #1 is better, but still a bit busy. It would also have helped to get the handler more in profile. Too much bum showing here. What has happened here is something that happens to me from time to time as well, which is concentrating on the subject too much.

I actually did not notice the truck in the background until I downloaded the shots into my computer for review. I was totally focused on the horse. Â The shots of the judging were very difficult because the horse handlers never stood still. As the judge circled the horse to view different aspects, the handlers kept jumping to different poses so that they always faced the judge (the horse stood still). Â Thank you, Mark

pauledell Posted June 18, 2012 Share #6 Â Posted June 18, 2012 Mark, Â Fine shots with excellent quality despite the framing. I guess that John's advice to keep shooting until the perfect composition is made, even though I never have been able to achieve that perfection.
