pauledell Posted June 8, 2012 Share #1 Posted June 8, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is a picture of Tommy the Rhodesian Ridgeback Hound and Butch the Boxer taken Christmas of 2010. This has been a heartbreaking month. We had to have Butch put down a month ago when he just could hardly walk because of Arthritis. He was 12 years old. Then Tommy died of a stroke this Monday. He was only seven. We have many fond memories of them and still have our Max the Irish Setter to keep us busy. Paul

leicamann Posted June 9, 2012 Share #2 Posted June 9, 2012 Paul , so sorry to hear of your losses, it can be very hard to lose a companion like that, especially if you have a good connection with them. We lost Persephone last year, she was a gorgeous Maine Coon, we loved her so much, then she was hit by a car. We had no idea that she was wandering so far afield, usually male cats do that. We were devastated . JRM

allamande Posted June 9, 2012 Share #5 Posted June 9, 2012 Paul, This is harrowing news. I share your grief, from the heart. The pain will subside and you will come to cherish these wonderful memories with them with increased intensity for years to come. Butch and Tommy will always be present and with you, though in a different form. I am very sorry. Ece
