tobey bilek Posted May 25, 2012 Share #1 Posted May 25, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have tried the 90mm ebay jinfinance screw to M adapter on two M8 cameras and the camera will not read the code. Tried various black paints including those I used on 5 other lenses without a problem. Tried black only, unpainted white which works with my M8 code is wwwbbb so I extended the blacks to the between pit areas to take up possible pit location errors. Then I removed the white and used chrome unpainted X 3 + 3 black The adapter does bring up the proper frame lines Anyone else have some ideas? Anyone coding a 90 Summicrion with latest firmware, 2.14, and have the camera work? Perhaps this is a firmware error.

tobey bilek Posted May 26, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted May 26, 2012 Thanks. I got it to work this morning after doing nothing but wait 24 hours for car paint to dry. The thinner I used, MEK, gives a very hard finish but requires 24 hours after dry to the touch. I am suspecting it has something to do with ir reflectivity to change upon drying or something else the human eye can not detect. I did allow all the other lenses to dry 24 hours and they worked first time.
