Saturn V Engines, 1st stage.

Space & Rocket Center, Huntsville, Alabama.

Leica M9-P + 21 Super Elmar M

I took this shot straight up as I was lying on the floor. The rocket is displayed on it's side in an enormous building, and most people shoot the nozzle openings from behind, but I was intrigued by the complexity of the motors themselves and the illusion that these are mounted on the floor and pointing straight up.

As always comments, critique and suggestions welcome and appreciated.

Chris, the new building at the Space & Rocket Center built to house the Saturn V rocket has a glass wall running the length of the rocket, and another at the rear. The weather was very overcast on the day I visited, giving a very soft side light.

Here is another picture of the 3rd stage, where you can see more of the structure of the building, and another of the 1st stage. These are unedited, just jpeg conversions out of LR4.

Sorry, this is actually a composite HDR that I was fooling around with. I grabbed the wrong file :(
