I don't think its that much different in Germany so, lets say they planted this in April 2012, it is still NOT possible for it to be that mature when you took the photo( May 11th or so 2012), so it had to be taken in 2011..thats what I mean.  Cheers, JRM Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you get it right, the barley should be golden yellow by August and ready for harvest by September. Its very important to harvest when it is dry, if you harvest when it is wet, you risk losing almost 50% of the value you will get for your sale. Sometimes in a bad season, it does rain in September and so the crop is ruined, that is why it is considered "risky".  Cheers, JRM Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
