SH-Photo branding on Leica lenses?!

I've just spotted the gold "SH" insignia on this lens. Is SH-Photo (aka Photo-Arsenal) branding the lenses it sells in the same way that car dealers do? I can't imagine that it would add to the value of a lens and, for me, is a complete turn-off.

Has anyone else noticed this on other lenses?

Pete.

I would not buy it unless it were removed.

When I buy my cars, I insist on the rear windscreen sticker advertising the dealer be removed before I take delivery. If I want a sticker, it will be mine.

I don't wear t-shirts with logos either. Am I weird? Probably, so that's settled.

P.S. I don't black tape the 'Red Dot' because I don't subscribe to paranoia either.

Geesh! Ain't life full of decisions.

I'm with you. No free advertising. Leica, BMW, Apple, ... I will leave their logo alone, but I'm not driving a car or using a lens that the dealer has stuck its logo on.
