dave.gt Posted June 11, 2012 Share #61 Posted June 11, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) is any one using a thumbs up with the x1/2? is it really needed? Not needed IMO if you use the half case. Not needed if you use a handstrap or the Op-Tech finger cuff which is much more compact and useful. Not needed if you use an A&A silk strap either. There have been "reports" that the thumbs-up will cause problems with the top plate or hot shoe, but I have never used one so I cannot state one way or the other. I do not intend to add one to my X1 at all.
Advertisement Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Hi dave.gt, Take a look here X2 with OLY VF2 Yes it works, here is the proof. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
mirekti Posted February 15, 2013 Share #62 Posted February 15, 2013 I had an intetion buying a Leica one, and somehow remove the Leica sign. Now as I know they are the same, I might end up buying an olympus one and save $300. I'll remove the sign anyways, I just have to figure out how to do it so the plastic remains neat. Any ideas? earleygallery Posted February 15, 2013 Share #63 Posted February 15, 2013 is there any risk to the camera in not using the leica evf and instead using the olympus vf-2? Yes, the shame, telling the world you're a cheapskate by using an Olympus viewfinder on a Leica. Pay the extra for the Leica badge, or don't buy a Leica in the first place. mirekti Posted February 15, 2013 Share #64 Posted February 15, 2013 Pay the extra for the Leica badge, or don't buy a Leica in the first place. I don't even want a Leica sign. ...and it is Epson made in China. (not intended as an offence to the Chinese audience)
