larry Posted March 6, 2007 Share #8 Posted March 6, 2007 Try shooting a properly exposed photo. You have one blown-out image and another underexposed ghost image -- both unusable. Start with the "sunny 16 rule" and bracket a few shots; then let's see what the unwanted reflection looks like. Larry
AlanG Posted March 6, 2007 Share #9 Posted March 6, 2007 Try shooting a properly exposed photo. You have one blown-out image and another underexposed ghost image -- both unusable. Larry I know where you are coming from but sometimes, when shooting "properly exposed" photos, one has no choice but to include very bright "overexposed" light sources too. This happens very frequently with architectural and interior photography. When I shot with large format transparency film, I frequently had to use filters. (Often on both the front and rear of the lens.) They were a big problem occassionally.
carstenw Posted March 6, 2007 Share #10 Posted March 6, 2007 In a shot with only the moon, a compromise in the exposure is hardly needed

Hans Roggen Posted March 6, 2007 Share #15 Posted March 6, 2007 Canon 400/2.8 + 2x extender. First I had the 1.4x and the 2x extender mounted on top op eachother, but when the exlipse set in it it became too dark and the moon would move to far for the long exposure times. I guess you need some kind of lunarautofollowingsomething contraption tripod thinghy to keep the moon from moving too much through the viewfinder. pemayeux Posted March 6, 2007 Share #16 Posted March 6, 2007 I shot the moon as well and also had a reflection. Mine is green. Noctilux f1 iso1250 Welcome, dear visitor!
