rob139 Posted May 11, 2012 Share #1 Posted May 11, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) It's flashy, a new design (cosmetic) summilux and a new designed top plate on the m9. Two different sets, each well under 50.000 euro. And the more exclusive one even comes with a Hermes bag! Well, it's not as ugly as the Titanium, that's for sure. Hermes doesn't believe in the holster thingy. Or the silly neckstrap, remember? http://www.photographyblog.com/images/uploads_news/leica_m9_titanium_hands_on_26.jpg So what do you think? I was expecting it to come in s**t brown color though, so it could have been worse still.......The stealthy standard MM looks far better! I think if you want people to know you own this camera then you have personal issues that I recommend you seek help for. The whole herpes/leica collaboration is crass and nouveau riche
richam Posted May 11, 2012 Share #3 Posted May 11, 2012 Investment only. Keep it sealed with desiccant in a bank safe deposit box to finance a college education for one of the grandchildren. It may not be the best investment, but I'm sure it will beat Greek treasury bonds.
jaapv Posted May 11, 2012 Share #4 Posted May 11, 2012 I already had it for a while... I did get a few funny looks with my Cameraleather one... :D Mr. Kaufmann did a double take before he realized it was not the new camera...

NZDavid Posted May 12, 2012 Share #6 Posted May 12, 2012 It's a shame they couldn't put a proper strap on it. Perhaps you could glue a strap lug onto the body, or use a power drill.
rramesh Posted May 12, 2012 Share #7 Posted May 12, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Will a Leica Hermes do justice to this Patek quote? “You never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely look after it for the next generation.” I can imaging the grown up kid asking "What's a sensor?"
