Jaap, do I detect a hint of magenta in the garments on the performers in the band pic? Actually I do, question is, am I right? I assume you were using the M9. It still detects synthetics under tungsten light, as in the three right hand performers. eg. The female singers are both wearing synthetic garments. I think some of the others also have synthetic content.IR cut filters still needed.

Not just under tungsten light, although to a much lesser degree outdoors, based on my experience testing the M9 against the M8.2. The M9 internal filtration is not as effective as with external filters in some circumstances.

So it is. An impressive and heavy lump and it does take really nice images But if one has managed to rake the $$$ together to be able to buy this lens it it well worth it to use the waiting list time that both lenses have to assemble the extra that the Noctilux costs. The only thing it competes on is the engraving of the maximum aperture imo.

And what security for the continuity of guaranty and service?

Actually I had to correct magenta shift on all images and the last one slipped through. I would say that is normal for many digital cameras, including the M9. It is no big deal, as the other colors are not visibly shifted to green like the were by the corrections needed for the M8.

Officially the IR blocking on the M8 is 80 %, and it shows up in extreme cases like here. I prefer post to filters in spotlights. Outside a filter would be better.

1. The difference in price will nearly buy an MM or 50 Summicron APO

2. I believe the first in depth reviews will be out soon which might come as quite a surprise (especially to Noctilux owners).

3. While SLR Magic have not been around for 100 years like Leica they do offer several lenses on the market and have been doing business for many years.

That's one of the first times I have seen real 3D from on screen pics using the SLR magic, Hmmm that is now much more interesting than the 50 APO........

Oh I was actually very pleased to see people present without the need for the full grown ups school uniform :)
