ymc226 Posted May 7, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted May 7, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I don't know if this belongs in this forum so please move if inappropriate. Â I am in the US and only sell via Paypal to a US confirmed addressing as I've read of instances when PP took back payment of items that could not be proven to have been delivered. Â In terms of selling to Europe, what courier services would one use that could be tracked easily from the US. I would prefer a single service from shipment to delivery, not one where a different service takes over in the recipient country making it harder to prove to PP that the item was actually received. jaapv Posted May 7, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted May 7, 2012 I would move it if I knew which forum to move it to.. Any of the international courier services, Fedex, UPS, etc. service Europe reliably. My personal favorite is Fedex, but they are a tad expensive.
marknorton Posted May 7, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted May 7, 2012 DHL are fine.
doubice Posted May 7, 2012 Share #4 Â Posted May 7, 2012 I have had good luck with the good old USPS - using Priority International for items under US$250, where proof of delivery to the address provided by PayPal is sufficient. For items over $250, I have used USPS Express Mail International - this service offers signature confirmation, needed by PayPal for seller protection. By the way - PayPal Seller Protection is an oxymoron...... Beware..... Â As to DHL, they may have a good reputation in Europe but, their North American operations are somewhat lacking - at least that has been my experience with items I have had delivered from Europe via DHL. Â There is another issue to consider when using courier services internationally - they do their own customs clearance and charge the recipient exhorbitant fees for this service. Postal services do not do this - the item may pass through Customs but, the recipient is the one doing the clearing. Â Best, Â Jan
