@Stuart, John, Daniel and Arthur:

thanks a lot for your compliments, nice to read.

@Stefan:I was happy to have his head raised up and look towards my camera - he was so busy in the bright sun

Next shadow to far away. I like the artists face expression while looking against deep sun. Stefan, thanks for your comment.

on Kudamm, isn't it, Johann? Didn't see him before ... I will have a look around staying in my old hometown again one time. :)

I like the scene (left picture) although his feet are missing. But one sees him working.

The BW portrait is a bit too close, to my opinion. A little bit more distance would concentrate more on his being I think.

Greetings,

Astrid

I think this is top-notch photograph and wouldn't change a thing. Much more striking than the second two. If one browses through the photo.net galleries, it's interesting how many pictures look almost too perfect and very similar. I like the wide range of images at this forum; yours adds a lot. Thanks for posting.

As I indicated (but will expand) in my first post above, the strong light seems to acceptuate all that I like about the shot, causing squinting and making all the character lines stand out more. Don't change a thing.
