andalus Posted April 24, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted April 24, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Anyone here know whether the 28 Summicron might sell for a premium to the black version? I have a mint silver one and am thinking of downsizing my kit, with M9, to just one lens -- the 50 Lux ASPH...because I want to buy a Nikon D800e, maybe. Â Perhaps this version of the 28 Summicron, which has been discontinued, is something of a rarity? Â Any comments welcome. Thanks.
kokoshawnuff Posted April 25, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted April 25, 2012 No logic behind it, but all the silver versions tend to command a bit of a premium (over the black) on ebay... Â Also as you said the silver cron 28mm is no longer in production, though there may still be a few new examples floating around
IWC Doppel Posted April 25, 2012 Share #3  Posted April 25, 2012 Simply more difficult to find. A few start with lenses looking for luvley silver to match silver bodies, I did the same but ended up with all bar one black so decided to sell as I could replace with black at less money and silver are heavier  Horses for courses
andalus Posted April 25, 2012 Author Share #4 Â Posted April 25, 2012 It seems the silver 28 is not heavier. It seems to aluminum rather than chromed brass. Not like the 50 lux silver. I think.
