}{B Posted April 15, 2012 Author Share #6 Â Posted April 15, 2012 Thanks everyone. This is XP2 and I have sharpened it in Lightroom. This is from a scan I got when the film was processed rather than one I have done. Without finding the neg strip I'm not exactly sure what camera and lens combination I used although I suspect it was my M3 and Zeiss Planar
leicamann Posted April 15, 2012 Share #7  Posted April 15, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks everyone. This is XP2 and I have sharpened it in Lightroom. This is from a scan I got when the film was processed rather than one I have done. Without finding the neg strip I'm not exactly sure what camera and lens combination I used although I suspect it was my M3 and Zeiss Planar  Both the lens and Ilford XP2 are usually very sharp, so the need to use USM probably is not necessary.  Thanks for sharing  Cheers, JRM
}{B Posted April 16, 2012 Author Share #8 Â Posted April 16, 2012 I've tracked down the Neg and as I suspected it was my M3 & Zeiss Planar. I've scanned the neg and here is the result. This has had nothing done to it except to being cropped in Lightroom. Â
leicamann Posted April 16, 2012 Share #9  Posted April 16, 2012 Yeah and you CAN see that it the horses hair and coat look way more natural, not like hogs bristle . Deke McClelland describes the different "effects" that photo editing software has on the way pixels are altered, I found his understanding and instruction very insightful and helpful.   Thanks again  Cheers, JRM
