jaapv Posted April 7, 2012 Share #1 Posted April 7, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm sure there will be forum members at the Leica presentation. Maybe we could do a forum meet with the members from Berlin on say the 12th
Advertisement Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Hi jaapv, Take a look here Berlin in Mai. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
andybarton Posted April 7, 2012 Share #2 Posted April 7, 2012 Do you have an invite then? It's not an open-house event, AFAIK
jaapv Posted April 7, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted April 7, 2012 Yes. I think there will be more international members invited and it seemed to me to be a nice idea to meet up with our German friends afterwards.
andybarton Posted April 7, 2012 Share #4 Posted April 7, 2012 Agreed, but invitations have been thin on the ground over here I'd go over there if invited.
jaapv Posted April 8, 2012 Author Share #5 Posted April 8, 2012 So what about afternoon Sat 12th? I want to go to a few musea etc. in the morning. We need somebody at the Berlin end to set it up a bit.I think you had some idea, Karl Georg?
k_g_wolf ✝ Posted April 11, 2012 Share #6 Posted April 11, 2012 Well, let me try then to draw up something of interest, Jaap. A visit of a museum (one of 170 +/- in Berlin) is certainly a splendid idea and I would suggest the following program on Saturday, 12-05-2012 1. For those who would like to jump on the museum-train -------------------- 11:30 - 14:00 h -------------------- - Visit of: Berlinische Galerie - Museum for Modern Arts, Photography & Architecture Alte Jakobstr. 124- 128, 10969 Berlin- Kreuzberg Besides their permanent exhibits they show two exhibitions at present: - Streets and Faces, photography, 1918 - 1933 - Boris Mikhailov - Photographs, 1966 - 2003 Both are highly recommended. A guided tour could be arranged easily I think. 2. -------------------------- Sightseing inbetween --------------------------- Short photography-walk in Berlin- Kreuzberg, the largest turkish town outside of Turkey. 3. Meeting in a restaurant -------------------- 16:00 h -------------------- At: Literaturhaus, Fasanenstr. 23, (just opposite the LEICA store in #71) 10719 Berlin- Charlottenburg This is a one of a kind "Cafehaus", traditional berlinstyle, with a chance to get more to eat than a piece of cake. Next to this place: Art Galleries, LUMAS- photogallery, MEISTER-camera. And the famous Kurfürstendamm. Best regards GEORG
jaapv Posted April 11, 2012 Author Share #7 Posted April 11, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Sounds good Maybe we could add this one somewhere: http://www.jmberlin.de/main/DE/01-Ausstellungen/02-Sonderaustellungen/2012/michael-kerstgens.php - I have a few thing for private contemplation as well, but that will be Sunday morning. eckart Posted April 27, 2012 Share #10 Posted April 27, 2012 Georg hat mich gebeten seine Programmvorschläge (Neben den Exlusivinformationen von jaapv ) für diesen Tag mit Links zu versehen. 1. For those who would like to jump on the museum-train-------------------- 11:30 - 14:00 h -------------------- - Visit of: Berlinische Galerie - Museum for Modern Arts, Photography & Architecture Alte Jakobstr. 124- 128, 10969 Berlin- Kreuzberg Besides their permanent exhibits they show two exhibitions at present: - Streets and Faces, photography, 1918 - 1933 - Boris Mikhailov - Photographs, 1966 - 2003 Both are highly recommended. Next to this place: Art Galleries, LUMAS- photogallery, MEISTER-camera. And the famous Kurfürstendamm.
