biglouis Posted March 2, 2007 Share #1 Posted March 2, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) My profession takes me on some out of the way trips through London's underbelly. By chance I had the trusty D-LUX 2 with me which is the ultimate stealth camera. I probably looked like some crazy tourist taking these shots, which incidentally, could have landed me in trouble. If the British Transport Police had seen me I would have probably been stopped and questioned. The first picture is on the platform of Shadwell DLR station, about 2PM with the sun at just the right angle. A dramatic view of Canary Wharf unfolds and grows bigger during this journey. D-Lux 2, f6.3 iso 80 1/60 at f8.0 -0.3EV - thank goodness for OIS! jmr Posted March 2, 2007 Share #2 Posted March 2, 2007 Louis, I think the first shot is rather good - nice perspective, and the toning seems to suit. Well done.
stuny Posted March 2, 2007 Share #3 Posted March 2, 2007 Big - A delightful pair. The geometry, depth and toning in #1 are excellent. #2 works very nearly as well, and I even like the partial refelction which adds a sense of location.
elansprint72 Posted March 2, 2007 Share #4 Posted March 2, 2007 Mr B, Echo the comments above; #1 is good, #2 is even better because of the reflections which ask questions about how the image was obtained.
