JazzDoc Posted April 2, 2012 Author Share #7 Posted April 2, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) @jazzdoc is the sky original? looks like painted with brush. very nice. mayby you can attached the colour version? thx gerrit Gerrit, you Doubting Thomas, you! Here are TWO shots I took at that spot - the first is the color version with the 50mm Summilux to capture the detail of the mammatus cloud formations, and the second is the area, original color version, captured with the 21mm Super Elmar. Both are hand held, thank you Leica. I can assure you, no filters were used to fashion the sky - I applied only local contrast adjustments. *When my wife and I came upon this scene and I decided to shoot it, our first thought was that folks would wonder if it had been Photoshop'ed. I'm not that good!

pauledell Posted April 3, 2012 Share #9 Posted April 3, 2012 Mark, A very dramatic shot. I love the b&w version but also the second color version which I believe may be even better. Your rendition of the sky along with the framing of the picture is outstanding. Outstanding work. Paul

leicamann Posted April 4, 2012 Share #11 Posted April 4, 2012 I love that look of the light between storms, it feels like its being compressed somehow, happens very seldomly. Thanks again for posting Cheers, JRM
