I am going to on vacation(Indonesia) and would like to get my new M9-P and one 35mm lens. I do not have bag yet and would like to get one which could hold Leica, wallet and keys. I'm looking for advice, any suggestions?

I really like my A&A Evans Walker, I fit my M8 with any of my lenses attached (even 50 lux with hood ) with a spare battery lens cloth cards etc plus room for one spare lens and a side pouch for wallet phone and keys. Perfect for me and well made and discreet

I really like the billingham for leica bag when traveling small.

Fits 2 lens + one camera with lens. In front is an big pocket for wallet/ sunglasses (or flash :) ) ect.

From billingham you can buy two extra leica end pockets to place on the side. Giving some extra space.

M Billingham and Co Leica End Pocket

Great thing about it is you can grab the camera quickly, and its still well protected when in the bag. And its a billingham so top quality and (to me) nice looks.

If you only use one lens and camera, the inner pads can be replaces to make one big space were you can put whatever you need (sunspray, water ect.)

Only down side it has the leica brand logo, so the price is quite steep. Even compared to billingham. You do get an extra bag with giant leica logo were this bag fits into.

Have a good time in Indonesia.

[edit] I remember one reason the price is higher than billinghams standard bags, you get a shoulder pad with it with you don't get for free with the standard bags (headly series), Another is the leica bag has a zipper for the front pocket. I found that one nice because that is were you place money, passports ect.

Keys and wallet in the camera bag? Are you going to a nudist camp?

If you don't mind a classic, old bag to carry your stuff, you can take my wife. Please.

Leica bag guys, check out this site: http://www.thebagforum.com/

Never not funny. :D

"The Bag" was a well regarded photojournalists' camera bag commissioned by Eddie Adams before he was killed in Vietnam. It was modeled from our medic's bag, but in leather with heavy zippers and a bit smaller.

I've been trying to convince our local leather guy to make one. So far all I've managed is a ballistic-like nylon version that's too small for all but one, perhaps two M bodies and lenses.

Very cool. The site you pointed to is - like, gag me with a spoon!

The nicest small bag I know is the Leice Kleine Kombitasche. (with a few bits of foam removed) One camera plus lens up to 50, two coupled lenses or one long lens, charger small type and some odds and ends. Not easy to find, though. There is a new one on ebay right now:33070862722

I have the Billingham Leica combo which is a very useful bag if you want to take an additional lens and lots of bits and pieces. However, by far my favourite bag for travelling with just the camera, mobile and wallet is my Fogg Soprano - very difficult to get hold of just like Leica lenses but worth the wait.
