Advertisement Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Hi fernando_b, Take a look here Best film ever made: K25. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted March 2, 2007 Share #2 Posted March 2, 2007 Fernando - Excellent examples of the fabulous colors available with K25 -- Paul Simon isn't the only one who misses this film. I feel, however, that you should check your scanning chain -- These all need a bit of sharpening, and we know from your other posts that you are quite adept at proper focus. I sharpened the example below.
fernando_b Posted March 2, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted March 2, 2007 Stuart, thanks again. As soon as I can I'll buy a film scanner. Now I can only use two flatbed with backlighting. Unfortunately the first has a terrible chromatic aberration, the second is focussed for opaques and very out of focus for slides. Back to K25, very difficult but the best. Fernando. Canfred Posted March 5, 2007 Share #4 Posted March 5, 2007 Superb film for viewing on large screen Fernando , but not so good for scanning my Flextight looses info in dense sections . I suggest give Astia a try like K25 it has natural colors but less contrast making it excellent for scanning. I believe the top Flextight models are better but you need to dig very deep into your pocket. Your photos are fine except a small sharpening issue. fernando_b Posted March 5, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted March 5, 2007 Manfred, thanks. How deep, thousands of Euros? A friend said me about a sharpening tool called sharpening (sometimes unsharpening) mask. I've tried it on the second image. Maybe exaggerated but seems better. Comments?
