Ordered mine from Steyning Photo Books and received today. Rather hefty, industrial quality packaging.

My first impression is that it's extremely well put together both from a printing / binding and content perspective. Highly recommended!

Ordered mine from Barnes & Noble this morning.

Supposed to have it by April 24th.

Same here. Amazon USA had a very confused listing and I don't have any confidence that they have their stock described accurately.

I don't have much faith in Amazon if the product is not listed as ready to ship.

Mine was apparently posted by Steynings from the UK yesterday. It could take a while ...
Actually mine arrived unexpectedly quickly as Steyning ship by air mail, so it might be there in a week or less.

I'm now quite leery about getting photography-related books from Amazon; their packing is so poor. The publisher (Steyning) of the new Leica book at least packs the book in a tank-like enclosure... :)

Besides, I like supporting Steyning directly as they've acquired the Hove Books catalog and sell many old Leica related titles, as well as supporting Contax, Exakta, Zeiss etc.

My copy of the 7th Edition was the most used of all my Leica books - probably thumbed through/referred to, several times weekly over a 9 year period - and it's still in one piece because of the bomb-proof binding and quality paper.

The 8th Edition is similarly robust and should also be good for many years browsing.

But it's a great shame that the DMR has been omitted

Returned home this afternoon after a few days away and my copy from was waiting for me.

I see what others mean about Steyning's packaging now......absolutely bullet proof. The book arrived in pristine condition and I concur with previous comments re the quality of the printing and binding.
