A few days ago I posted some photos of the Chrysler Building, our favorite skyscraper. I thought I’d try to catch some details and took the following photos yesterday. The first is late afternoon through my dirty office window, which also has a film applied to it to block some of the sun’s rays, so I had to adjust the exposure and color afterwards. The others are details shot mid morning from the south side of the building. The winged thingies are modeled after the 1929 Chrysler automobile radiator cap. The eagle heads 29 stories higher are modeled after the 1929 Chrysler automobile hood ornament. I’ll add these to the 4th page of New York photos on our site tonight.

Stuart thank you for these - wonderful. The Chrysler building is my favourite New York building - I am a big fan of Art Deco architecture. These have wonderful details of the fabric of the building. How lucky you are to have that view!

I also drive a Chrysler - 2002 PT Cruiser with a V8 conversion but will be taking delivery of a new 300C V8 Hemi at Easter.

Andy - Thank you. Those are big and thirsty cars for use in the UK. A lot of fun, no doubt, and pretty unusual there. enjoy them.

Arthur & Ed - Thank you.

Brian - Thank you. If I have a chance next week I'll try to get some lobby shots. I've not been in that building for years.

Stuart - the PT has a big following over here. A large Owners Club supported by Chrysler UK and the dealers. Last count approx 15,000 on the road here. The UK also has the option of a 2.2L diesel version.

The 300C is also appearing on the roads and quite a few are Hemi's!
