Hi there,

I have been using M8 for several months now, and I am loving it. My biggest challenge with M8 is how to compose an image for each frame. As M8 is not full frame like M9, therefore I have been thinking of getting a wide angle lense to overcome this problem. I am currently using Voigtländer 35mm f/1.4 NOKTON. I know that I should get M9 and i would not have any problem, and yes I am saving my money towards M9.

Does any know if it it possible to use Voigtlander Nokton 25mm f/0.95 MFT on M8?

Thank you in advance.

The Nokton is an MFT mount and so will not fit on any M camera.

There is however the Voigtlander 25mm f4 Color Skopar in M-mount, as well as its LTM predecessor the Snapshot Skopar, which will fit on an M with the appropriate adapter

Hope that helps

Jim

I can recommend either of these two C-V 25/4 lenses on the M8. Just remember that they need to be coded to avoid cyan edges when used with a UV/IR filter.

Thank you guys for your advice. As a new member here, I feel so welcome.

Problem solved. I have decided to get the new Voigtlander Ultron 28mm F2.0.

I also had a quick test with second hand of LEICA ELMARIT-M 1:2,8 28mm f/2.8 ASPH. I must admit that the Leica 28mm f/2.8 felt great on my M8, and the image quality of the test shot was brilliant on the LCD screen. However, since my deciding factor was based on price, I decided to purchase the new Voigtlander 28mm F2.0. I managed to get a good price with a local dealer. I was told that the image quality produced by both lenses on M8 is not much different. I hope I have made the right decision.

Here are some test shots with the new Voigtalnder for you guys to comment.

Now I have to start saving towards the brand-new M9.
