luigi bertolotti Posted March 9, 2012 Share #23 Â Posted March 9, 2012 St. Lorenz im Passeier coming from the Jaufenpass...(yes,that is in Italy...). Â Fine roads with fine sceneries have certain risks.... on the other side of Jaufenpass (Sterzing side) I had a (luckily) SMALL crash with my BMW R65 bike lot of years ago... (M2, in the backpack, unhurted, too)

sblitz Posted March 9, 2012 Share #25 Â Posted March 9, 2012 getting back to the original question -- why do you need an m9p vs m9 same camera just some fluff to increase leica's profit margin. or get an m8.2 no ff but based on what a number of posters here have written, still an excellent camera. jaapv Posted March 10, 2012 Share #26 Â Posted March 10, 2012 A personal choice I would say - I think the looks of the M9P are worth the price difference - but nobody is forcing you to prefer it over the M9 standard. The images won't show a difference anyway. Why do people pay for cosmetics? It may not be rational, but such is human nature... and the world would be a grey and boring place if it were otherwise. mooky Posted March 10, 2012 Share #27 Â Posted March 10, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) If this is true and some you are on the the scene, please don't mention cost. My two digitals are Canons the 4D and the 7D. I have an excellent selection of lenses from the days of "pro" shooting. Since I've retired my income has dropped somewhat and has become more or less fixed on what the US government ( 3 separate agencies ) dole out every fall. Would I like an M 9P, sure, but as I said I've retired and the euros(dollars) just aren't there. Does Solms realize that their pricing policy is contributing to a smaller group of loyalists with very deep pockets. As a working pro my cameras were just that, equipment. Now I ask myself, what do I do with all my beautiful Ms and Rs with a variety of attachments, not to mention the M and R lenses. Â Send them to me, I'll use them.
