I like this box

Very nice box !!! I wonder if they'll make any further version of it... after all, the VIOOH was sold even in the first '60s, I think (but catalog of 1964 does not mention it) when other lenses existed : Elmar 135, Elmarit 90... but to fill a box with a lot of lenses' names would be an exaggeration... this box already has a good number of... :) (to further complicate, in those years there also ocurred the "transition" to millimeters...)

 

Anyway, this looks a rather "late" VIOOH... do you know if all the lates were numbered ? Looks a high-range number... I don't think they reached the "6 digits"...

Yes they did Luigi. But have only a pict of it but I am looking everyday for one ;)

 

this one is 90 993

my highest number is 99 058 visible on my website.

I don't have a box and mine is a much lower serial number. It is a useful accessory though... Jim

...quick question - I see three different (maximum aperture) 5cm lenses printed on the box. Re: field of view, was the listing of the individual 5cm lenses on the box more a marketing or an "educational" thing?
