Messsucherkamera Posted March 2, 2012 Share #5 Posted March 2, 2012 I mourned the loss of Kodachrome but for E6 film, I have always preferred Fuji's emulsions over Kodak's. Kodachrome was truly a horse of a different color. However, Kodak's E6 films always struck me as a case of trying to keep up with the Joneses (trying being the operative word). When Fuji remains the production of slide films than you still have excellent slide films for your Leica ... Let we use a lot of Fuji slide film...Germany is still the champion of slide film users:D

Joop van Heijgen Posted March 4, 2012 Share #12 Posted March 4, 2012 I'm trying to understand how Fuji can make a profit from transparency film and Kodak can't. Bad management and marketing for many years...In the Netherlands it was difficult for many years to get kodak slide films in a photo shop....then you never sell a lot:cool: Fuji have an excellent sales organization with many selling points. When we use enough Fuji slide films than they will remain the production of slide film:) The best selling country of slide film is Germany. 80% of the world production of slide film is for them. gyoung Posted March 5, 2012 Share #14 Posted March 5, 2012 Fuji too has a full range, 400 ISO as well as 100, Kodak has only had 100 for a while, so I might as well buy both from Fuji, and get more similar characteristics across the speed range Gerry
