I don't know if anyone from Leica AG is actually reading these forums. While I'm still anxiously awaiting my M8 to arrive, my actuall line of work is programming and systems technology. Dear Leica Camera AG: As I hate seeing a company that I have a great deal of respect for getting bashed, which they have rightly deserved by the total lack of communication with there loyal customers, I would hereby like to make my services available, at no charge, to try and help you guys out of this situation. If you send me your thoughts, idea's, problems or whatever other issues are causing problems in the software development at the moment, I would certainly have a look at these and try to assist you in whatever way possible. I may not have the answers for you, however, just getting an independant viewpoint may help to trigger new ideas for old problems. There are no motive's behind this offer - I would simply like to help restore the Leica name and reputation to where it belongs. Andreas PS: Please don't bash me to bits for this posting... In the end we can possibly all benefit from this. No bash, but I don't feel like they're being very uncommunicative. They've got lots of work to do and they've done a decent job of letting us know what is up. I've seen companies do alot worse. I'd rather them solve the problem right, than continually snake-oil us and then not deliver. When you get your M8, go take pictures with it and be happy. Me? I've shot 4000 images in three weeks and am giddy with the results. The firmware and fixes will come when they are ready... Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
