nugat Posted February 21, 2012 Share #1 Posted February 21, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Please help. I am visiting New York next week. I was thinking of reviving my MP and doing a B&W shoot. What is the best place in NY to get the film developed and scanned? I mean quality most. dave.gt Posted February 21, 2012 Share #2 Posted February 21, 2012 My best experiences by far have been: Digital cameras, all other cameras and everything photographic - Adorama Camera Store Great choice by the way, picking the MP! Have a great trip and let us know how it went upon your return with lots of photos!
andybarton Posted February 21, 2012 Share #3 Posted February 21, 2012 There doesn't appear to be any mention of in-store processing on Adorama's web site. I have an interest in this subject too, and would get C41 processed there if they still do it.
dave.gt Posted February 21, 2012 Share #4 Posted February 21, 2012 There doesn't appear to be any mention of in-store processing on Adorama's web site. I have an interest in this subject too, and would get C41 processed there if they still do it. Well, I stand corrected. Helen at Adorama sent me an email stating they don't do that anymore and referred me to: http://bleekerdigital.com/services.htm There will be more referrals as my friends in New York get back online. If so, I will pass them along.

CalArts 99 Posted February 21, 2012 Share #10 Posted February 21, 2012 I mean quality most. TIA Laumont Photographics : About Laumont It might be a bit of overkill for what you need, but if 'top quality' is the sole priority then Philippe Laumont is absolutely one of the best in the world. dave.gt Posted February 21, 2012 Share #11 Posted February 21, 2012 I am curious myself. What do you think: T-max 400? That is a good choice! Might throw in a roll of Portra 400 for added flexibility...

Laumont looks great , but the price indeed makes it a bit of overkill for me.

StS Posted February 22, 2012 Share #15 Posted February 22, 2012 If a C41 development and an 1hr base16 scan from a Fuji minilab is sufficient to email some pictures home, drug stores might be a good option. I had a good experience with this place: Walgreens 350 5th Avenue New York, NY 10118 (It's in the basement of the Empire State Building). m.galimathias Posted March 17, 2012 Share #16 Posted March 17, 2012 Does anybody have a recommendation for a reasonable priced C41-minilab in Manhattan, which offers development + cheap prints/scans? I dont need exceptional pro quality but a neat, clean C41-development.
andybarton Posted March 17, 2012 Share #17 Posted March 17, 2012 I used Walgreens under the Empire State Building a couple of weeks ago and they were fine for what they are.
