And this also (in my opinion) leads the way to digital film, meaning a so thin sensor that you can fit it into camera bodies that was build for traditional 35mm film (hold on to those Leicaflex cameras). Though before we get this, we will get more compact, cooler memory in other devices and more effective sun energy, without depending on exotic metals. Makes me think of their work on bubble memory (never successful) about a quarter of a century ago. If this new technology pans out IBM's earlier failure was materials constrained.
