Advertisement Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Hi cirke, Take a look here 35 Summilux Ring very soft. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Dannybuoy Posted February 15, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted February 15, 2012 My older Lux 50 has a loose aperture ring, but when I say loose I mean it can be turned very easily as the clicks seem to be quite faint. It won't turn while walking though. That sounds like something is very wrong with your new lens. Maybe a quick trip back to the dealer?

ophyls Posted February 15, 2012 Share #4 Â Posted February 15, 2012 I thought my new 35 Summilux FLE was very easy to turn but was assured by the dealer that it was quite normal...it is still clicks a little when turned but strikes me as being much easier to turn than the 50 Summilux I have... but it won;t turn when walking...think you need to get it checked.. cirke Posted February 15, 2012 Author Share #5  Posted February 15, 2012 I'll go directly to Solms to fix this problem   thanks
tamas Posted February 15, 2012 Share #6 Â Posted February 15, 2012 Mine too that I recently got I find surprisingly soft and my finger often as I focus rubs against it altering the set aperture. For the moment I'm learning to adjust to it, though may well return it for tightening up. Its a bit too soft for my liking.

MarkP Posted February 16, 2012 Share #9 Â Posted February 16, 2012 Similar experience to Ophyls. Â The aperture ring on my 1.4/35 FLE moved with minimal touch but not to the point that it moved by itself. I had this checked by Leica Australia but was reassured that it was normal. When my full kit went to Solms for focus calibration the ring on the 1.4/35 FLE did come back a bit firmer. However, it is still amongst the lightest of aperture rings on my Leica lenses (certainly lighter than the 1.4 50 ASPH)
