stuny Posted February 14, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted February 14, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Near Devil Island, Antarctica, while crusing the ice field in a Zodiac we came across a few adelie penguins who had been resting on an ice berg, but were ready to continue feeding. Â Vist our site to see many more shots of Antarctica. Â

pauledell Posted February 14, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted February 14, 2012 Stuart, Â A marvelous shot with great composition, timing, colors and sharpness. Looks like the Penguins have been watching the satellite TV feeds of the human Polar Bear clubs that dive into icy rivers for charitable events. leicamann Posted February 15, 2012 Share #8  Posted February 15, 2012 Good timing, the colour is much better here than the icebergs shot, sometimes the jpeg rendition has too many exaggerations and its better to draw the file from its original RAW file format.   Thanks for sharing  Cheers, JRM

myshkine Posted February 25, 2012 Share #14 Â Posted February 25, 2012 Stu, beautiful and fun. How about a slight rotation to the right?
StephenPatterson Posted February 25, 2012 Share #15 Â Posted February 25, 2012 Simply wonderful. I love all the shards of snow and ice in the air (as well as the penguin!!!).
stuny Posted February 26, 2012 Author Share #16 Â Posted February 26, 2012 Sebastiano - Thank you. I'm not certain the rotation would be correct. The tilted waterline I think is due to the edge of the floe receding to the right. Â Stephen - Thank you. The second place we saw pandas was in a zoo in China, and the third in a zoo in Laos. The conditions in those locations at that time were depressing: dirty, all concrete, small.
