On The Grove is an eating establishment called The Mud Dock. It might turn out

to be the best place for lunch. It's on the first floor and beneath it is the Mud Dock

cycle shop which has it's own car park. This car park is a pay and display car park.

I think it will prove to be ideal :)

Well done Gibbo - that sounds great - also as Mike says, there's also lots of parking around Millennium square, (which I wrongly identified as Cannon's Marsh previously :o) as well as cafes and visually interesting locations - might be we can mix old and new Bristol effectively .

The words 'Boat Trip' also come to mind given that the Prince Street ferry landing and the SS Great Britain are nearby...;)

Ok chaps, one month to go!! I do hope the good weather hasn't come too

soon but if it stays like this we're in for a goodun! :)

To summarise, I think we shall meet at the Mud Dock Car Park on The Grove

at approximately 11 am on Saturday 28th April. Coffee and or lunch at the

Mud Dock followed by an exploration of the City Centre/Harbourside.

Our local Leica Dealer, The London Camera Exchange is within striking

distance on Baldwin Street. Its a small establishment so I'm not sure anyone

would want to pop in on the day?

I've just scanned through the thread and here is a list of those who have

expressed an interest so far. Most were 'possibly' with a few definites.

Could you start to give me a more positive idea of whether you intend

to join us?

Will any of you be bringing partners? I'd like to pop in to the Mud Dock

and warn them that a group may descend upon them so that we don't

take them by surprise :D

Excitin' innit ;)

Three weeks to go chaps :)

Yep "Tempus Fugit" in fact by this time in three weeks it will all be a very nice memory. Looking forward to meeting you all.

I'm not sure but my 14 year old granddaughter might be with me, well if that's if its OK with you guys.

She's quite a good photographer but she hasn't graduated to a Leica yet, although she eyes up my kit, I think shes hoping it will all be hers when I'm up there playing my harp!! :D

Regards

Mike:)

She'll be very welcome, Mike. And I feel sure that we wouldn't be instrumental in her choice of camera equipment, which will of course have to come out of your pocket. Has she heard about medium format yet? Or the S2 ... ?:D

May be able to get to this meeting.

Will need to check with SWMBO re possibility for either self or both of us.

Would be driving over from the far east coast, so would need good instructions for Bristol itself or at least Post Codes for relevant car parks.

First time posting, first meeting....if it works....

Will let you know

Enjoy,

Mike
