DanZ Posted January 19, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted January 19, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I don't have a camera bag for my M9 and I usually put it in whatever bag I use that day when I go out. It was all right yesterday. But I found the F stop ring got loose suddenly when I tried to use it. It was kinda hard to push, yet now it is way too loose. Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks! Advertisement Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Hi DanZ, Take a look here The F-stop ring got loose?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
JayC Posted January 19, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted January 19, 2012 f stop rings are on lenses, not your m9 body. Are you referring to the lens or to the shutter speed dial that is on the top of your m9. SJP Posted January 22, 2012 Share #4 Â Posted January 22, 2012 I think the lens needs a CLA - had something similar with a brand new 50/1.4 ASPH. Turned out to be a minor metal shaving & cost me 50 euro and 2 days. Â I guess I could have sent it to Solms under guarantee but the (anticipated by me) turnaround time appeared unattractive. If Leica was making 100.000 of these things per year then they would have a quality control problem. But as far a I am aware they make a lot less & then it is really difficult to get all the boxes ticked. Â There will always be minor issues - they will deal with that, that is what we pay for, but there is no way such problems will disappear.
Bill W Posted January 24, 2012 Share #5 Â Posted January 24, 2012 Probably need to be a little more specific here. What lens are you referring to and if it is new then you need to take it back to your dealer or Leica if it is a Leica lens.
