stunsworth Posted February 23, 2007 Author Share #3 Â Posted February 23, 2007 Thanks Edward, this was actually a bright and sunny day. So the challenge is to try and turn a boring shot into something more interesting :-) Â Thanks for looking.
robert_parker Posted February 23, 2007 Share #4  Posted February 23, 2007 Steve  Often a problem that I have.  This has transformed into an attractive shot - I particularly like how you've kept some variety and natural tone in the light playing on the left side of the image, which is hard to do without distortion as PS applies the sepia effects

stuny Posted February 24, 2007 Share #6 Â Posted February 24, 2007 Steve - Â That is quite lovely, and I like the amount of toning. However, I think the photo is now just a bit too dark. Here's a quick, rather inperfect other interpretation.
stunsworth Posted February 24, 2007 Author Share #7 Â Posted February 24, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks Stuart. I agree that you're version looks more natural - or at least as natural as a sepia photograph can be :-), but this was exactly the kind of result I was trying to avoid. It does make an interesting comparison though, so thanks for sharing it.
