Whether that will satiate a desire for a 'black paint' M8 would have to be your call. Further, if you already have a silver M8 and seek a chromatic change for it, my answer won't be of much help, I guess. Fear Not, cuz there is a.l.w.a.y.s a way to achieve something if someone is willing to pony up the fundage. Silver ones, too. Also a few mods, leather swaps, and grips and leather cases are sprinkled liberally in the thread. menos I M6 Posted December 5, 2011 Share #6 Posted December 5, 2011 Dave, if you like black paint (read: real black lacquer, not black powder coating), you will love the M8.2 - I certainly love mine: "Leica MP vs M8.2" by teknopunk.com, on Flickr I would trade in the M8 for a M8.2 in black - it's a nice aging camera. It's a tricky process and if not done by a very good painter, it'll look bad. If you want other colours, then you'll have no other option but to repaint it.
