cbretteville Posted November 29, 2011 Share #1  Posted November 29, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) She is back, finally - after nine weeks. Looking at the time line I'm puzzled by the fact that it took a week for CS to collect it from Wetzlar and the delay from completed repair from completion of work to it actually left Solms.  Time line: 20 Sep: Shipped from Oslo 20 september. 23 Sep: Shipped from Norway 28 Sep: Arrives in in Wetzlar customs house 05 Oct: Registered in at Leica CS 10 Oct: I get an status report an a quote 14 Oct: Repair starts 15 Nov: Repair done 23 Nov: Ready for shipping 27 Nov: Shipped from Solms 28 Nov: Received  They claim she is good as new. I sent her in for a 'free' DX reader upgrade and she comes back with new shutter curtains, new rewind crank, adjusted meter and clean and recalibrated VF/RF - with 1 year waranty. €600 worth of work and parts   Here she is, 'naked' on a box of 48 rolls of APX100. robert blu Posted November 30, 2011 Share #3 Â Posted November 30, 2011 Beautiful camera! For sure she will work well! Service time from Solms is in my opinion too long...but it seems we have to learn to live with it robert
akiralx Posted November 30, 2011 Share #4 Â Posted November 30, 2011 Mine was gone for over 4 months to Solms (from Aus) as the centre round diode had stopped working. They seem to have rebuilt the camera, and gave a year's extra warranty. Also a 0.58 coincidentally.
