Advertisement Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Hi Steve66, Take a look here iPhone light meters. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ezc203 Posted November 26, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted November 26, 2011 Oddly enough, I was just about to post a thread about using iPhone light meter apps instead of "real light meters". Â Which one do you use? I use one called "FotometerPro" (which was $0.99 or $1.99, can't remember) and it has been serving me very well. Super simple - ISO, aperture, shutter speed, and +/- EV. You can select reflected or incident. Above all, it is rather consistent - and what more can you ask for from a light meter?
Steve66 Posted November 26, 2011 Author Share #3 Â Posted November 26, 2011 interestingly it is seems to be called light meter'..doesnt have the options but was free, the histograms consistently read to the right compared to my M8. Â Steve.

Steve66 Posted November 26, 2011 Author Share #5 Â Posted November 26, 2011 sure I understand the 1/3rd 2/3rd ets but in edition, beside these there are numbers 8,710 whatever and I am unsure what these are meant to refer to. Â Steve.
MarkP Posted November 27, 2011 Share #6 Â Posted November 27, 2011 Have any of you more formally compared these to standard hand-held light meters? Â Mark

Lindolfi Posted November 27, 2011 Share #8  Posted November 27, 2011 Have any of you more formally compared these to standard hand-held light meters? Mark  Yes, compared with calibrated handheld meter and found fotometerpro to be correct over a large range within half a stop. But beware, indication is in full stops in terms of exposure time. ISO can be set in 1/3 stops and aperture in half stops.
