I had a business trip to Malmö* recently and did some scouting for those coming by plane - arriving at Terminal 3, one will hit directly the train ticket booths. The train to København leaves at Spor 2.

Been living in Copenhagen nearly 50 years so I feel compelled to share some information related to Copenhagen, travel and Photography.

The airport is really close to the city center, about 15 minutes with the Metro line, taxis are expensive, City bikes can be lend in the center of the city for 20 DK Kroner, about 3 Euro that you get returned when you return the bike, the canal boats/buses are a popular way of transportation but generally everything is within walking distance...

The Metro is currently being extended with a Circle line, so sadly many roadworks throughout the city center... Don't rent a car it's very expensive...

Street photography is very popular here, there is access to many green areas, parks and gardens, you are always welcome to explore the old courtyards in the city center, often you can even get invited into peoples private homes.

Only 'difficult' area is Christiana, it is an self-proclaimed autonomous neighborhood of about 850 residents. They sell drugs in one of the streets and they don't want people there taking pictures of the transactions...

We have a couple of Pro camera shops with Leica equipment; Goecker, Photografica and FotoC.

Photografica, in the city center is a must see, they have some new Leica M cameras and lenses and a rather large amount of used Leica M and SM.

The owner Svend-Erik is rather fond of Leica and you get the feeling that the shelfs and the display cases are more of a private collection than a shop and the prices reflect that - nothing is cheap - but there is a lot of hard to find Leica goodies, black paint items, hoods, filters, adapters etc. buried in large drawers... all of the staff are very friendly and a couple of them are die hard Leica guys, so ask if you don't see it...

Also Nikon rangefinders and lenses new and used and new Zeiss ZM lenses in stock.

Bring cash, they charge a credit-card fee for foreign credit cards... They have web and ebay shop, but not all items are listed...

If you have any questions regrading Copenhagen, please feel free to ask :)

Looking forward to seeing you all here in Copenhagen!

In the interest of avoiding a broken arm, mine has been convincingly twisted up my back it would seem, I have capitulated and in the morning will confirm a flight from Melbourne to Copenhagen where I hope I can expect to meet a few friends. ;)

Still to source some CPH accom. but I believe in Providence. Will worry about that tomorrow. The official dinner? I understand that is booked out, but if there is a waiting list, ........ !
